StarWest Usability - Safety Kit Distribution Weekend - Breadcrumbs needed

Open userstar00 opened this issue 8 years ago • 6 comments

When logged in as a user in Safety Kit Distribution Weekend, recommend adding more transparent breadcrumbs at the top. When I clicked under Campaign Info on the Safety Kit Building, I could not easily get back to the Safety Kit Distribution Weekend signup. Had to use the back button to go back to the volunteering view

This pattern exists in other views, so someone should be able to jump in on this.

I think the current behaviour is correct.

"Safety Kit Distribution Weekend" is an Event within the "Safety Kit Building" Campaign. By click on the "Safety Kit Building" link under Campaign Info, you are effectively going back. So in this case, you either click the back button, or click on the "Safety Kit Distribution Weekend" Event again.

Maybe I've misunderstood?

Hi @VishalMadhvani Yes, that's true but it may be helpful to users to make it easier to keep some kind of record of where they came from in order to show them how to get back to the event from the campaign.

Does anyone know if this issue from @userstar00 is from a real user?

Hello. I was part of the StarWest conference group doing Ad Hoc UAT on the application.

I believe @VishalMadhvani is correct, that this is the expected behavior. Based on the following screenshot:

Clicking on the links under "Campaign Info" would take you up the to either the campaign or the organization, both of which are higher up the breadcrumb stack, so I would not expect to see additional breadcrumbs added, as they would be redundant.

We're looking at a wider UX review around the navigation and how the hierarchy of the various elements come together. It might be worth consider this part of the UX review.
