Quake window freezes
Guake freezes on Ubuntu 25.10. The terminals periodically no longer update their display although key presses are still forwarded to the shell. Closing the window and showing it again usually unfreezes the display and shows the effect of the additional key presses.
Whenever the freeze happens the syslog contains the following:
gnome-shell[4841]: 0x80000b (Guake!): Frame has assigned frame counter but no frame drawn time
Edit : This seems to happen more when I have a browser open on my second monitor showing a website where the page reloads periodically.
Output of guake --support:

got the same error, and also shourtcut works like double toggle xD
The same issue has occurred since updating to GNOME 49, and attempting to downgrade gnome-shell and mutter as mentioned in #2297 did not resolve it.
I got the same problem after updating to Ubuntu 25.10

I think, this is another issue.
This bug popped up when upgrading to GNOME 49. I've downloaded GNOME 49 from the AUR so this must be some new daemon or newly modified daemon interaction with Guake and GNOME 49 specifically (not Ubuntu or any specific operating system)!
Same issue in Nixos, After updating latest nixos-unstable channel g Gnome freezes upon another activity on a browser in another screen. Shortcuts act as double toggle. Gnome 49. The version of Guake was 3.10 where I even upgraded it to 3.10.1 with same issue.
Same for me. Guake freezes/hangs after GNOME 49 update (Manjaro). It seems to be triggered by seemingly totally unrelated actions in another window (Spotify playback).
As far as I could track it, it seems to be issue with Gnome itself, exactly the same bug affects Tilda.

As a workaround I've been using xfce4-terminal --drop-down (in Gnome) and haven't seen the bug happen with it yet.
