Ability to modify default search fields
As instructed here: https://community.graylog.org/t/specifying-default-fields/4118 I'd like to ask for a new feature.
When I open graylog->search there is some default selection (applicable by clicking default button) I'd like to change which checked fields are the default.
Expected Behavior
When I change default search fields in configuration, the default search fields be different and when I click default button in the search fields, it will recreate the new default fields when changed.
Current Behavior
Currently there is no option to change default fields as a new default.
Context
We are logging process name and loglevel, because we are logging from 3 processes on each machine. And we want to have default distinction for all logs between these fields.
+1, would be useful to force a given saved search query to be used by default for users.
+1, would be good to associate default fields for display with each stream. We're upgrading from 1.x to 3.x & the UX for adding fields to tables now requires more clicks; this feature would work around this UX change in many use-cases.
+1 would be good when you want to add some specific custom fields as default without saving .
I think this was possible 10 years ago https://github.com/graylog-labs/graylog2-web-interface/issues/595 But now this is a new feature... ok, +1 for that
