Staleness support in Monarch

Hi folks,

wanted to touch on this matter as the docs still state there is no support without mentioning any on-going work in that regard.

I can somewhat imagine that this (in theory) is not a critical issue but it may introduce some confusion/issues, especially when moving from a relatively recent prometheus version.

Is there any chance we put some well deserved spotlight on this missing feature of Monarch?

Nothing is in flight now, but we're going to revisit Staleness once we successfully unfork the collector and allow PRWv2. Hopefully we can start investigating potential solutions towards the end of this year.

I agree that lack of staleness markers is an annoying omission.

Hey @lyanco , thanks for a quick response. I understand now that there are certain blockers you need to take care of first. I wanted to start the conversation and have a tracking issue/place for discussion if nothing else. Looking forward to those changes and it's good to know we agree on this limitation :)
