Embedding a video does not show the thumbnail

This is specifically for safari.

I am building a page where it's important to show the thumbnail since I don't want to require the user to click on every video to see what the video is showing. We've tried replacing every video with GIFs but that is suboptimal for page performance.

Right now, on your help site and all gitbook instances, when embedding a MP4 link as a video, it does not show the thumbnail. It would be great if a thumbnail could be shown below the play icon.

Yup. This is the related to the issue I created #3076

Something is blocking the images that are proxied i believe
