Option to start recording as soon as you finished selecting a region
I think this can (if functionality is expected (due to checkbox in options) is nice to have and can speed up process.
@dimitrieh @chernyshev, @crydalch, @cryogenx What's up boys! Wanted to check if this is still a valid request? It sounds like this was created before we got the current hot key support, for example:
Cmd + Shift + 6 → New Selection → Space to record new selection, Cmd + Shift + 6 → Restored Selection → Space to record restored selection.
We could add something like holding a Cmd button to start recording immediately after finishing the selection when releasing the mouse, but this is literally the same extra button press as Space when selection is already made… 🤷♂️ What do you think?
@ianbytchek Thanks for following up here. My take on this is that this is a potential automation option. I'd suggest testing it out with a separate hotkey indeed and see how it is in practice.
Holding cmd might not be a good option though as through the recording other hotkeys might need to be pressed.
cmd + alt + shift + 6 might be an idea?
