USB Stick not working after flashing 1.41
I flashed firmware 1.41 to my Ultimate64 Elite. After this the USB drive was no longer accepted. Formating it either ExtSD or Fat32 didn't make it any better.
After flashing the unofficial 1.37 it was working again. crash.txt
Got that issue too. Using another USB pendrive fixed the problem, so it is bound to some USB pendrive compatibility.
I am having the same issue with my UII+ when I flashed to firmware 3.10. The USB thumb drive I had been using for years suddenly was no longer recognized. The menu would either freeze up entirely when it was inserted, or I would get a red FAILED where it would normally say Ready. I tried reformatting, no change. I tested with a different stick and that one works fine.

It seems that reverting this commit solves the issue - tested with U64 and U2+:

Reduced timeout and retries on USB bulk in for Inquiry command for some nasty sticks.
Interestingly, this fix was necessary to make a Sandisk Blade stick work, or at least make the delay go unnoticed. Increasing the delay will cause some sticks to take really long before they get recognized.
I honestly think that the removal of the 'clear stall condition' is the real culprit of sticks going to 'failed' state.
I do not understand why, but some sticks do not seem to like the inquiry command at all. And some sticks do not properly enable without sending the inquiry command first.
I understand. Because of several bug reports regarding non working USB sticks, I recently bought a Samsung "Fit Plus" 64GB USB Stick "MUF-64AB/EU". It is known to be broken with 3.10 and working with older firmware. And it is working witg the mentioned commit reverted... Surely I cannot tell for all USB sticks.
Hi Markus! I ordered the MUF-64AB/EU this morning; I hope to get it tomorrow.
