Identifying and Removing Legacy Code in `Layers, Maps, Documents, and GeoApps`

In the apps Layers, Maps, Documents, and GeoApps, there is legacy / unused code primarily in the views, urls, and templates due to the replacement of many parts by the GeoNode client. We need to investigate the legacy and unused code and remove it.
