PresentMon Beta graphs autoscales up, but not down
Try to use PresentMon with the frametime graphs. Make them go really high for a sec (like by changing a graphical setting), and you'll see that it won't go down, even though nowhere in the graph now gets even closer to that max value of the right axis
In this screenshot, I've enabled path tracing without any XeSS, which resulted in the worst frametimes you could imagine, they went up to around 230ms, but I've disabled since 5 minutes ago, and the scale doesn't go down, which makes the graph reading impossible as I'm now trying to see a difference of 0.5ms, in a graph axis that goes up to 109ms
Thank you for submitting this issue. We are aware of it and are investigating how to reliably reproduce it to study the mechanism of the failure. It seems that not just any large jump in scale triggers it; it only happens in certain circumstances. We will update further when we have made progress.
If I may add to this, I just installed PresentMon for the first time and in cs2 it has the same issue and setting a manual scale doesn't change it as well.
Auto-scale is indeed broken for me too. It's weird, I had the impression it was working before but now that I upgraded to v2 I have to manually set values otherwise graphs are kinda useless. Hope to see this fix asap, especially if a lot of people are affected (not sure about that).
Also seeing this bug, it only seems to ever autoscale up but never down.
This has been fixed in 2.1, please check it out if you have a chance!
