LinuxGSM should add login function(remind user to login in) in installation for l4d2 server like Terraria server.

We believe that valve are changing a bunch of stuff related to anonymous login and it will be sorted once it's finished. Sadly I don't know much more currently
is there a way for linuxGSM to allow us to login to download the update? I confirmed that I am able to get the update by logging in to an account with the game. Someone also posted an alternative workaround by first downloading the windows version and then "switching" to the linux version https://github.com/ValveSoftware/steam-for-linux/issues/11522#issuecomment-2512232264
Edit: update the server directly by pointing to /serverfiles worked

you can edit the "lgsm/config-default/config-lgsm/l4d2server/_default.cfg". add these lines as a fix:
steamuser="" # your steam username
steampass="" # your steam password
also, if you have steam guard, you can leave steampass blank.
