shall asy/ folder be moved to doc/ ?? (or even to the wiki)

Not much to say... It seems to me that the files in asy/ folder are part of the documentation.

I can't see a development branch (Just master, candidate, and tags). I assume you are handling the development in your internal repo (see https://github.com/GPUSPH/gpusph/issues/29), in such a way github is just a mirror. Am I right?

Yes, the development repository is private, with access to the developers only. Only the master and candidate branches are pushed on the public repository. At this stage our development branch for the next version has not reached the stage of a candidate yet, it needs more work and stabilisation.
