Window flickers black when saving with Evil

This only seems to happen when using Evil's :w, C-x C-s works fine.

Hm. I find it quite peculiar that this package should cause something like that. How did you figure this package is the problem? The process would help with debugging.

The problem started when I installed the package, and stopped when I removed it. That said, it could of course also be some kind of weird interaction with another mode, or just a "last straw" problem.
