Ability to change buffer size

Please can you add slider at Player Settings for changing buffer length, for example, ranging from 15 seconds to 15 minutes, to allow greater flexibility with various connection speeds and to provide faster seeking times. It looks like it defaults to about 1 minute now.

Is there any chance to get this request out of the dusty corner? Is getting this feature to work tied to an huge effort?

There isn't a video where I don't have to press alt-left alt-right to get out of a stuck cache. I suspect this feature will help a lot.

For users using metered is problem the large buffer cache used for some videos. Have times the user only want see commentaries and few moments of video. An option in settings for select the default buffer size for videos in seconds or in video player an button to change the buffer timer.
