Feature Suggestion: Mouse "rocker" gestures for faster navigation
This is a low-priority, "would just be nice to have" feature request.
Is your feature request related to a usage problem (not a bug)? Please describe. I use mouse gestures extensively to speed up navigating in web browsers. Mouse gestures allow the user to perform a wide variety of user-assignable actions though simple mouse interactions. The most popular involve holding a button to draw a shape on-screen, a shape which the user previously mapped to a command.
Another, simpler type of gesture is the "rocker" gesture, which the popular gesture add-on Gesturefy describes as "This gesture is performed either by holding the right mouse button and clicking the left or vice versa." A very common use of rocker gestures is forward and backward navigation: hold RMB and click LMB to navigate backward in page history, and hold LMB and click RMB to navigate forward.
That's what I use rocker gestures for, and it's always a little jarring to use a web-like application, in this case FreeTube, that doesn't have such shortcuts available.
Describe the solution you'd like to see implemented Consider if mouse-based rocker gestures could be useful in FreeTube, and possibly implement them.
Perhaps there are other FreeTube features besides back/forward navigation that it would make sense to map to rocker gestures. For example, moving forward and back through a playlist could be useful, or perhaps skipping 10 seconds back and forward within the current video's timeline. In this case, the implementation should allow the user to choose which action is mapped to each rocker gesture.
Describe alternatives you've considered Sometimes you can use an external program (notably X-Mouse Button Control) to hack them in yourself (by mapping the desired mouse inputs to existing keyboard shortcuts), but native support by individual apps is usually more robust.
