Fails to open RDP console if wsgate.ini config "hostpassword" has "#" character in it

Wsgate.ini file treats "#" as identifier to add comments and so fails to authenticate if server password has "#" in it resulting in error "Could not connect to backend" error.

How do we escape "#" in password in wsgate.ini config?
