Closes instantly when I try to connect it through Intiface

Open MeowMixMasterMike opened this issue 4 years ago • 8 comments

Just tried and recreated the issue about five times in a row. I have my Lovense Edge 2 running through Intiface and as soon as I click the connect button in Scriptplayer: It attempts to connect once, then the whole software closes itself down.

Having the same issue with Lovense Max 2. and Kiiroo Onyx+ Realm Edition. I have tried on Scriptplayer version 1.1.0 ; version 1.1.1 ; and ver. Debug-1.1.1.354. All with the same result. Intiface Desktop ver. 23.0.0

Was there any crash information logged in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\ScriptPlayer\Crash.log or anything interesting in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\ScriptPlayer\ButtplugConnectionError.log?

Perhaps this will help a bit:

I have successfully used ScriptPlayer-Release-1.1.1.352.exe with intiface-desktop-24.0.0-win.exe on my desktop Win10 computer without issue. I installed both on my laptop Win10 and I also get the instant crashing behavior. (Fresh installs, no device configured yet)

These logs are with ScriptPlayer-Release-1.1.1.356.exe BTW: (I cleared the logs before testing so these are just one crash event)

Looks similar to the issue I had with Buttplug since the Rust Version that only comes in 64 bits, but that was resolved quite some time ago. Have you tried the Debug Version instead of the Release?

I have, and I get the same result from ScriptPlayer-Debug-1.1.1.356.exe. BTW, The purpose of this effort is to get ScriptPlayer operating The Handy through Bluetooth. (Not sure I will have reliable broadband when traveling) Perhaps it's a Bluetooth issue with the built-in device of the laptop?

I hope this doesn't complicate the diagnosis:

I de-installed Intiface entirely. Removed folders from %APPDATA% too. I also cleared the settings.xml file out of the Roaming\Scriptplayer folder.

Started ScriptPlayer and tried to connect to IntiFace and it asked for the web Socket URL and I accepted the default. After that, it crashed again. Perhaps this is a connection issue with IntiFace that is causing the crash?

I also should note that the desktop (where it works) is Win 10 Pro while the Laptop (where it crashes) is Win 10 Home. Perhaps there's something in that? :) Crash.log ButtplugConnectionError.log

Just wanted to add that I'm also running into this issue, x64 Win10 Home on a laptop, beta version of SP, most recent version of Intiface.
