Request: Manual Power Limit Control

Thanks for your work here, just tested the fancontrol and it's perfect! Beside the indirect TDP control with windows energy profiles it would be very nice to control the TDP, PL1, PL2, times etc... with this tool manually. Maybe it's possible, would be great!

Yes, having access to some APU/SoC power settings would be awesome

That's an interesting idea, we would have to add some host commands in the EC and have it validate the requested values to make sure they are safe.

It would be interesting, because I like silent Laptops, that's why I did this to my new Framework 13: https://community.frame.work/t/watercooling-a-framework-laptop-13-and-keep-it-mobile/68985

And with limiting or raising the TDP and times it would be possible to push the limits without exceeding temp or noise levels.

And maybe a way to undervolt the CPU ;-) ok, I'll stop here with my wishes, but would be available for testing!

Lowering is possible, but not increasing, because I have now some thermal headroom 😉
