Unable to drift in default superflat worlds

Versions:

• Minecraft (1.20.1)
• Fabric (0.15.6)
• Fabric API (0.91.0)
• Automobility (0.4.2)

Recreation:

• Create a default superflat world
• Spawn any pre-fab in Creative
• Attempt to drift by holding space

Using this same set-up, creating a normal world allows drifting normally. Same with the Tunneler's Dream preset- the only one affected, as far as I'm aware, is the classic superflat preset. I attempted to downgrade Fabric and the API and neither solution worked.

This also happened to me and i found a fix

when you create a superflat world u spawn at the Y-60 Level and i think its not coded so it can work under Y 1

but if they can fix it, it would be perfect for drift maps
