Feature description
1.2.0
Added
Conversation shortcuts (#209)
the 'Conversation shortcuts' feature
random 'Conversation Names' keep appearing in the menu accessed by long-pressing the app icon, and they just keep accumulating - which is annoying.
Even for deleted or non-existent messages, the 'Conversation Names' remain and can’t be removed (bug?). also, 'CN' from the same numbers stacked on top of each other.
please make it optionable.
Why do you want this feature?
it would be nice to have the option to disable this feature for users who don’t use it.

Do you see more than four entries at the time?

These sound like bugs to fix, not a reason to remove the feature.

So why are you long-pressing it? It's a normal place for shortcuts in Android.
appreciate the answer...
Do you see more than four entries at the time?
currently, including the 'New conversation' and three phantom 'CN' (from random non-existent messages), there are four in total.
but I guess it’s ok, as long as the menu doesn’t get larger...

I wasn’t suggesting removing the feature, was I? what I meant is that, for example, right now there are three phantom ‘Conversation Names’ left over from deleted (nonexistent) messages.
So why are you long-pressing it? It's a normal place for shortcuts in Android.
It’s also where you access 'App info'. the device has 2GB of RAM, so I force-stop the app when I’m not using it.
btw, I'm on A11, if that matters.
It also crashes the app sometimes, so there's that.
Treating this as a bug report. ~Expect a fix in the next update.~ Couldn't get to it.
