Feature description
When selecting a search result, take me to where that message is in the conversation instead of the latest message.
Why do you want this feature?
To save me time and to make the search functionality more complete and useful, because if the search result is old then I have to scroll a lot to get to it, and I might even miss it.

If that bug still exists, it might make sense to fix that and implement this feature in one go.
At least in my case, when I select a search result it goes exactly to that message. The conversation is shown with the selected message in the top part of the screen. I do not have many SMSs (about 600 overall), so maybe it is a matter of indexing that does not work correctly for large datasets.
I believe it doesn't scroll automatically when the searched message is "older" than 30 messages. By default, the app only loads 30 messages.

Oh! I see. In my case older messages are not found at all. I did not notice it before.

This bug cropped up shortly after the fork from Simple to Fossify. Early versions would take you to the searched for message, no matter how far back it was.
This bug is a serious impediment to the search feature. Search is, as it stands now, almost entirely useless. Any message new enough that the app will take you to is new enough you don't need to search for it.

Not true, this also happens in the latest Simple version. It should be fixed in the next Fossify update.

In the end, I settled for handstand pushups. Double digits.

It won't be instantaneous in very long threads due to pre-existing performance issues (to be fixed later), and searching older messages is still broken due to #218, which will also be fixed later.
