Please be more specific in your bug report. Leaving empty fields and writing a very general single sentence doesn't help us understand your issue. Write in steps what exactly you are doing, and in actual behavior what exactly happens.
- The option to adjust brightness and volume with gestures is enabled
- Opening a video file
- I swipe my finger on the left side of the screen - the brightness is adjusted
- Do the same on the right side of the screen - volume is not adjusted.

Does it display information about volume change, but doesn't change the volume, or doesn't even show anything?
It works on my phone, so I have a few additional questions to get a better understanding of what can be wrong on your device:
- Does it happen on all videos?
- Are you trying to do this with the device in portrait or landscape mode? Or do you have a problem in both modes?
- Have you checked different places on the right-hand side of the video? It doesn't work in every place.
- How are you controlling your phone? Do you use the view with three buttons at the bottom, or gestures?

Nothing's happening at all.

I'm starting to guess that it's clearly something specific: in Issues SMT someone complained about a similar thing with Xiaomi about a year ago.
The answer to your questions is yes, in all cases. I use the three-button control. I've tried everything I can think of - the volume is not adjustable. I also tried the latest version from SMT - same problem.
I also additionally checked on Right Gallery application based on SMT Gallery - same problem. What other information can I provide to help solve the problem? Here by the way is the same problem from a year ago..... There's a chance to finally solve it :)
I can also reproduce this problem on my new OnePlus 13 (Android 15).
Volume gesture doesn't work on any video (no ui or volume change) in all orientations and all along the right half of the screen. Gestures and nav bar both have the problem. The gesture works just fine in this other simple ExoPlayer based video player as well: https://github.com/moneytoo/Player
It's definitely device/manufacturer specific as it works just fine on my Galaxy S10 (Android 12).
Here are a few examples from another project where these gestures work perfectly. Maybe the key to the solution is somewhere there?

I was able to reproduce it on a Mi 10i. The detective is on the case now.
Fixed, I tested it and confirmed it.
