Lockscreen never turn off using timer

Steps to reproduce the bug

Just start a timer, turn screen off, and lockscreen will show timer icon blinking on the lock screen and the screen never shut off during the timer period.

Expected behavior

Timer icon show on lockscreen for a few seconds and then phone screen turn off. If i lift phone, lockscreen show with timer icon, and if i put down phone again, phone screen should turn off again after a few seconds.

Actual behavior

Lockscreen is on for duration of timer

It's customizable:

Fossify Clock ➜ Settings ➜ General ➜ Prevent phone from sleeping while the app is in foreground

Please disable this option and try again.

I have tried that setting. It did not work Screen never turns off like other apps of similar type.
