Describe the bug When syncing CalDAV from Outlook.com, refreshing the calendar does not complete. When you swipe to refresh the loading spinner never goes away. There is no loading spinner when refreshing from the ... menu.

I do not see a log file I can reference in the app. I'm also not finding a FAQ to reference for this app specifically.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Enable CalDAV sync under Settings > CALDAV
  2. Select outlook.com calendar to sync
  3. View calendar and refresh it by swiping from the top.

Expected behavior Calendar completes sync action.

Device info (please complete the following information):

Additional context Additionally, not all events sync from my Outlook.com calendar. I'm unsure if that's related or not, I can file that bug separately if it is determined to be unrelated to this. Interestingly, only a single recurring event I have for some bills syncs, but no others. Some events showed up that I had long since deleted from Outlook.com

What app are you using for CalDAV synchronization?

Also, the FAQ is inside each app (three dots -> About -> FAQ).

Hi Aga-C,

I wasn't aware I needed a separate app for syncing this. I clicked to enable it and the Outlook.com was there on the list to choose from. I already have the account on my phone from the Outlook app. There was no popup to indicate anything.

It's in the first point of the FAQ ;) Fossify Calendar doesn't have Internet access, so it can only use calendars that are already synchronized by other apps.

Please let us know if everything works fine after installing the CalDAV synchronization app.

Can you point out the FAQ? I mentioned I didn't see it on the main page for this repo.

I wrote were it is in my previous comment.

Thanks! I appreciate you editing that in there for future me when I forget :)

As a follow up, should the app be aware of whether it can or cannot sync with the selected account? It did pull up a couple events from Outlook.com, so I'm unsure why that would work but not other events. See the screenshot comparing each calendar.

I can rewrite this as a UI issue if that's the case. I'd think that if it cannot sync, there should be some error presented rather than spinning forever.

The app you've shown in the screenshot most likely does the CalDAV synchronization, that's why the app was able to pull events. That's why I was asking about the app because it still may be the valid bug in Fossify Calendar.

Oh sorry I misunderstood. For clarity, it is the official Outlook app.

Checking to see if there's an update to this issue. I have the Outlook app on my phone and want to sync it to Fossify Calendar but the sync keeps spinning. I downloaded and installed the CalDav sync app, but I'm not able to add my Outlook account to it. It looks like Outlook is not supported because it's not listed as a supported service. https://www.davx5.com/tested-with Any ideas how to get reliable and timely syncs to work?
