Description

As a customer hosting FlowFuse

I want to use MS SQL Server

So that we comply with company IS/IT requirements

Which customers would this be available to

Everyone - CE/Starter/Team/Enterprise

Acceptance Criteria

  • [x] #3696
  • [ ] #3689
  • [ ] #3690
  • [ ] #3691

*1 In the discovery made during the POC carried out as part of #3689, some tables cascades need to be removed to prevent errors around self-referencing, cycles and multiple cascade paths. For this, I have added a new task that should be addressed and merged before any other. This task "targeted tests" should explicitly test the cascades and any other DB changes proposed in the branch developed for #3689. No MSSQL specific changes should be merged until these targeted tests are merged and passing for PG and SQLite.

Have you provided an initial effort estimate for this issue?

@Steve-Mcl @joepavitt I'd like to split up this issue into two parts, for each of the current acceptance criteria one. A customer is looking to have an answer hopefully next week, and for the answer I think only the initial step is required and we can perform the setup with runners etc at a later date.

Another thing that's missing in the AC's is updating the documentation.

@zackwasli what's the status of this atm? Last comment suggested we're still waiting, just want to check in.

@joepavitt still waiting to hear from them on timeline. They've gone a bit quiet, will post updates as soon as I hear back.
