Striped Pipes for Placing Cobble Stone Pipes

I was placing cobblestone pipes using the striped pipe and after roughly 250 blocks, the striped pipe stopped placing the pipes and just spitted them out. I removed it and placed it again but it wasnt working anyway, is there a way to fix that?

okay, it is now working again, sometimes... for some time... but that should really not be something that has to be monitored to be sure not to lose the pipes
