Vive Controllers far to sensitive

I find the controls too sensitive. On other VR games it allows me to press on the controller discs for input but on this game just lightly touching them makes me move, and it makes this port unplayable for me as I am constantly strafing when I want to walk straight. Is there any way to change the settings so only pressing on the controller discs will make me move?
