Does not work during debugging
When I set a breakpoint, wait it to be hit it during debugging and then execute the below statements in another tab, it causes SSMS to hang,
exec sp_select_get_rowcount 'tempdb..#MyTempTable' exec sp_select 'tempdb..#MyTempTable, @max_pages=1
Even the use of SET TRANSACTION ISOLATION LEVEL READ UNCOMMITTED
does not help
Hi, I just noticed this issue right now. Very sorry for that.
Could you let me know the version of SQL Server/SSMS you are using? I haven't really used this proc in the last years so I will need to verify it on newer version of SQL Server.
Hi Filip, I used it on MSSQL 2016 SP1

Same issue here using MSSQL 2016 SP2 with SSMS 17.9.1
Edit: The issue turned out to be an outer transaction blocking access.
