Figma won't launch without "--no-sandbox" argument on Debian 10 Buster

Open hxdeci opened this issue 5 years ago • 1 comments

I use Figma for making wallpapers with my friend, and I've had an issue where Figma will not run without the --no-sandbox argument. Otherwise, it spits out this message in terminal: [5440:0907/094613.325601:FATAL:setuid_sandbox_host.cc(157)] The SUID sandbox helper binary was found, but is not configured correctly. Rather than run without sandboxing I'm aborting now. You need to make sure that /opt/figma-linux/chrome-sandbox is owned by root and has mode 4755. Trace/breakpoint trap

My Figma configuration: Debian 10.5 Buster, running the Focal release of Figma

Hi, to make it executable try to change the owner of chrome-sandbox file with sudo chmod 4755 chrome-sandbox on figma-linux directory at /opt/figma-linux/

Cheerss
