codeium.vim makes NeoVim laggy and unresponsive

I mistakenly open an issue in the wrong repo 😅, see https://github.com/Exafunction/codeium.nvim/issues/190.

I noticed that my NeoVim is laggy during typing which was annoying and slows down me affecting my productivity. After some exploration by disabled and re-enabling some installed plugins, I discovered that codeium.nvim is the source of this lagging.

for me too, after typing for a few mins 10j and 10k feels like going through hell with my computer engines revving up (my fan spins fast :p)

I bought a new computer with better hardware and performance (i.e. upgraded from HDD to SSD) and I can't reproduce this issue! Please if you still have the issue list your hardware components to provide some context. I think if your computer is fast enough it will be able to handle this without lagging.
