given how easy it is to make an alt for minecraft bedrock, I would argue that this feature would further secure the intended purpose of a player ban.

Even easier to change ip with a vpn.

Client ID bans are more effective as it either requires re-installation of the game, or changing of a file in the game files.

If a player is banned this way and all they get is "You are banned" upon joining, most players won't realise they are client ID banned and will fail to bypass once they try changing IP and trying new xbox account qnd it still doesn't let them join.

if youre referring to the player XUID, that is attached to the xbox account. I have downloaded and reinstalled minecraft many many times and I never need to change my XUID to give operator permissions each time.

@nrss CodeHz is working on a web based captcha system which only allows one account to log into the server per google account

Xbox uid changes if they make a new xbox live account, client ID always remains the same, unless game is reinstalled. It is more likely someone will make a new xbox live account than reinstall the whole game and lose worlds just to bypass a ban.

But i agree that a combination of xuid and client ID as suggested by Vladimir, would be the best option.
