Added '--install-components' command line argument

Open aleab opened this issue 7 years ago • 6 comments

I've added an additional command line argument to let the users choose which driver components they want to install. In my use case, for example, I always want to install/reinstall PhysX, so I can now launch TinyNvidiaUpdateChecker like this: TinyNvidiaUpdateChecker.exe --quiet --install-components=PhysX.

Multiple components should be separated by a comma: --install-components=PhysX,HDAudio.

Thanks for your contribution! Your PR is very promising but I want to implement an GUI for it aswell. Let's keep this open til I get a GUI for it.

Any update on this userfull feature?

Any news about this ? There are a lot of people who just use the --quiet setting and I don't think a GUI would be necessary in that case.

Yes I will be taking a look at this again soon. This complemented with a GUI, too.

A more extensive list of possible components would be a nice addition @ https://github.com/ElPumpo/TinyNvidiaUpdateChecker/pull/59/files#diff-6ad22cac519c21d4c2c46e6c18eecb3fe52c5807e461c2532f47c33e6024e13cR421

I know big man. It will come soonTM but I would like a GUI like Nvcleaninstall has where each component has some text and their dependencies listed
