Could you please upload your crash session log to provide some clue at what point the crash occurs.

I was able to reproduce this with 2.12 branch also on W11, with TX16S, #61a9ed64. Debug log files are empty. 😬

I don't know if this is related, or different, but Cpn is also crashing if I simply start it, create a new model and settings file, and then press the toolbar button to add a new model.

Here is my settings file just in case (?!) there is something weird in there...

PS: That is what the "Other" and "Nightly" options are for, when you are testing code that is not in a "release" (since there is no "2.12") yet ;)

I can confirm this too, Companion 3.0.0 has the same problem. When I try to create a new model or import data from the TX16S transmitter, Companion crashes.

Uhm, I might have read that somewhere 🙃

Ubuntu 22.04 test. Compiled latest main branch. Launched Companion. Profile set to TX16S. Created multiple models. No crash or errors.

This might be fixed by #6869

Possibly, yes... I can still reproduce the crash with old 2.12 standalone simulator (pre fix), but 3.0 standalone simulator (with fix) startups up fine.

I cherry picked #6869 on the the current 2.12 branch (548f64). No more issues accessing the SD Card folder for both CPN and standalone Sim). I can PR the backport if you want.

No need, it will be merged shortly like with all PRs marked for 2.12 inclusion. Thanks for the confirmation that it fixes it for you.
