UI improvements on smaller screens

RED : strange slider position BLUE : these spaces should be smaller imho

That whole volume bar section needs to be re-worked; from a html, css and js point of view. I did notice a while ago but the quick-fix I attempted didn't work so I moved on to something else!

The side spacing is a simple fix.
