On Mac Cmd-§ is accepted and displays as Cmd-` for the en_GB_Mac keyboard layout
Describe the issue you are having
In Preferences -> Shortcuts, if you hit Cmd-§ on a mac UK keyboard then even if you have selected the en_GB_Mac keyboard layout, the keystroke is described as as Cmd-` in the keystroke box. However, it is Cmd-§ that is effective, not Cmd-`.
This is probably true of other language mac keyboards.
