How to Permanently Ignore Extension's Conflicting Container Request?

Open dwillis77 opened this issue 4 years ago • 1 comments

Hello,

I currently run STG (great extension btw!) alongside Multi-Account Containers and New Tab Override, and I have a group configured to always open tabs in a specific container. But apparently New Tab Override always tries to open new tabs in the Default (no) container. So when I try to open a new tab I get a message asking what I want to do:

  • Exclude the Default container from this group (which makes it so the new tab opens in the Default/no container), or
  • Ignore the New Tab Override extension for this browser session (which makes it so the new tab opens in the container I configured for the group).

The first option appears to be "persistent" (i.e. if I check the box once it remembers it forever) but the second does not. Is there some way I can tell STG to always open new tabs in the container configured for this group without asking (i.e. to "permanently ignore" the container that New Tab Override requests for new tabs, at least within this group), without disabling the NTO addon altogether?

Any help is appreciated!

I also want to suppress these notifications. It's fine to warn me once but let me click ignore and move on.

It's been over a year since the last comment to this has been created. Are there any solutions to this problem? I started to use STG a while ago and absolutely LOVE it. But having this warning with every new tab is quite annoying.

Alternatively: Is there any Addon that gives me the freedom to specify a custom URL for start page and new tabs like New Tab Override that does work with STG?
