Login to google account not working

Open George4All opened this issue 1 year ago • 2 comments

I am logged in to my browser using both my personal account and my university account. I have been using Gemini on my main account without any problems. When I attempt to click the log in to google button seen below, it just opens a new window with my account details image image

When I click on the user icon to change accounts, only my university account shows up, even though the default account for google is my personal account. image image

I am therefore unable to use the extension even though Gemini works perfectly fine. Whilst I thank the dev for the extension as I have used the Bing AI extension in the past, I'd appreciate a reply as I'd like to use it with Gemini.

Hi!

Thanks for your patience.

Is there any error showing in the chrome console when you are on the google result page? Could you maybe send a screenshot of it?

You can show the chrome console by pressing F12 and going to the "Console" tab.

Hey,

No worries, thanks for your reply.

Here is the screenshot of the console, with all other extensions disabled: image

If needed, this is the output when I saved the console: utils.js:18 [Gemini next to Google results] Please log in to Google, then refresh err @ utils.js:18 onErrorMessage @ chat_session.js:404 handleActionError @ chat_session.js:440 setupAndSend @ chat_session.js:466 await in setupAndSend (async) restartConversation @ chat_session.js:429 btn.onclick @ chat_session.js:483 Show 6 more frames Show less

I would like to add that in the meanwhile other email accounts have popped up (including my secondary account ect, yet none of them work with gemini)

Thanks!
