Better Search Results

For sites with lots of TLDs and subdomains the autocomplete search widget can be misleading. Where's chevrolet.com and footlocker.com?

You need to search for www.chevrolet.com and www.footlocker.com. But there are some situations where you won't be able to find your result. E.g., domain.com and lots of subdomain.domain.com's.

Suggestions:

  1. Order by # of datapoints (density)... if that data is there (DESC)
  2. Order by length of domain

Thanks for pointing out the issue, it has been raised by some other users as well and we are working on solving it.

Using density will not work since the overall density always adds up to 1 (or close to 1 due to approximations), and # of data point is not available in the report. We are already ordering by length of domain as a temporary-fix-at-place, but it is not adequate.

We are working on using a combination of Alexa ranking and a little regex magic to make the search smart.

Will update once we see strong results.
