How to store meeting notes

Open with-heart opened this issue 4 years ago • 2 comments

I'm thinking that for the time being we could just create a meeting-notes folder and store notes as md files in there.

Filename format?: YYYYMMDD-<group|topic|project>.md

We could eventually create a template with frontmatter to help us track attendees and some other metadata-ish stuff, but imo we need to have more meetings before we can even figure out what kind of metadata we'd want to collect.

Original inspiration for this repo concept: https://github.com/storybookjs/community

Might give some ideas for content/structure/etc.

@with-heart I like this idea of having historic and next/upcoming meetings notes like the example from Storybook. Could be really help to as a default always create the file for the next meeting when we push the notes for the last so there's always a place to log items that need to be put on the agenda and people know where to look to find the agenda for the next meeting.

If we're going to store all of the notes (town hall, website etc.) in the same repo might makes sense having subfolders for each type and then in for the readme.md in the root dir just explain what the repo is for and direct people to those sections?
