I have enabled "Hide Blue Ticks" and "Hide Delivered" in the settings. This keeps the messages hidden until I view them. However, once I read the messages, the blue ticks will be sent to the recipient.

If I revert to version 1.5.1 D810C30, it works as intended. For your information, my WhatsApp version is 2.25.29.76.
