Unable to open rows per page dropdown

I am having trouble opening the rows per page dropdown. I get the following error

web-animations-next-animation.js:28 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'cancel' of null b.Animation @ web-animations-next-animation.js:28

I am using neon-animations: 1.0.0 and web-animations-js: 2.0.0

Is is possible to somehow disable animation on the dropdown? paper-dropdown-menu takes a "no-animations" property
