No CPU temp

I have a 2009 Mac Pro running OS 10.14.6 and the CPU read 0

I just installed this widget and CPU and GPU temperatures are missing entirely from the MenuBar drop down and have empty values in Notification Center. 2009 Mac Pro 4,1 flashed to 5,1 with upgraded Radeon RX580 GPU and upgraded Xeon 5680 CPU Mojave 10.14.6. Maybe that's the problem? Also it's not fair that the guy in this article gets a cool fan icon in the menubar and I have three plump dashes in mine. https://beebom.com/how-check-cpu-temperature-mac/
