GNOME sometimes shows « “daemon” is not responding »

This is annoying because you can be spectating and in some less common case even playing. Pressing "Wait" a few time doesn't help typically, but unfocusing and focusing the window again does.

The issue also typically happens when on the loading screen, but that's another issue

So did it really freeze or was it working normally when that came up?

Oh yeah it totally doesn't freeze, you are still spectating or in some rare cases even playing normally
