[Feature Request] Changing time, date and brightness from Twilightmenu++

Open juniornff opened this issue 1 year ago • 0 comments

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

I have a DS Lite. When it comes to playing games like Animal Crossing, which require specific dates and times for certain events, I don't always have those times available, so I change the time and date on the console's system so I can play in my free time and not miss anything.

Also, although I like to play with the highest brightness level, when the battery is low, I switch to a lower brightness. Although nds-bootstrap already has that option, in games that are very demanding on the DS, like Animal Crossing, entering the in-game menu can freeze the game, forcing a restart of the console (I don't know if I should report that, but that's not the point now).

All of this forces me to turn off the console and remove the cartridge/flashcard to edit those settings, then turn the console off and back on again. Or I have to set the startup mode to manual and do all of the above.

Describe the solution you'd like

Being able to edit the time, date and brightness from TWL++ would prevent me from having to remove the cartridge from the console or disable its automatic start.

It would be good to implement like the DS Lite, the brightness option would be on the main screen, the time and date change would be in the settings menu.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Some have already proposed the option of allowing time and date settings to be modified for each individual game #1994 #2253 . In that case, a button to return to the console's time/date would also be interesting.

Additional context

Someone else already mentioned the idea of changing the time and date #1015 , so I'm just adding the brightness issue and other ideas to summarize/combine the requests.
