Add an option to force audio through the speakers

Open Zarathestrio opened this issue 3 years ago • 3 comments

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. My N3DS has recently been damaged and now constantly thinks headphones are plugged into the jack. The fine folk over at Luma3DS have already created a custom boot.firm file that provides the option to forcefully route all audio through the speakers, however it does not work for anything that doesn't directly function under Luma such as TWiLightMenu.

Describe the solution you'd like An option to force all audio to be routed through the system's speakers would be a great fix!

Describe alternatives you've considered I've attempted to fix the physical issue to no avail

Would be nice to generally have force-routing options. Off/Speakers?/Headphones/Both. (speakers only may be redundant with "both" as an option since at that point you have physical control?). Could use "both" to have sound while using line-in to an unmonitored input for example.

Is this even possible on the DSi hardware? I'm pretty sure the headphone stuff was in-hardware.
