Visual styles for common controls and other minor tweaks

This applies the following cleanups and tweaks:

• Remove unused usings
• Enable visual styles for common controls in the app manifest, e.g. makes dialog boxes look nicer
• Some minor tweaks to get rid of some compiler warnings
