Cryptool crashes without an error message

I have the stable version (9778.2) installed on a Windows 11 Pro desktop computer (10.0.26100).

I used cryptools for a few months without issues, then after the latest Windows update yesterday evening, it became unusable: When I launch the program, I can see the home screen for a second or two, then it crashes without any kind of error message or prompt (it suddenly closes).

I tried solving this issue with a fresh install (uninstalled, rebooted, installed the latest stable version) in case the update altered some config file. After the installed it worked exactly once, then the faulty behaviour started anew.

If you can provide the location of any error logs that may remain saved in the system and accessible without using cryptool, I'll be happy to share their contents.
