@jtagcat that's exactly the plan at the moment, it's on the cr-build branch and ideally I'd take the vscodium patchets and apply them directly, then still use their build tooling to push automatic version builds by replacing Microsoft's git URLs with this repo's.

I currently have no idea on what the API specs are for any of the endpoints though, but since I am planning on an opt-in telemetry for research I think it would be worthwhile to explore what data is actually sent to those endpoints.
