Hangs on initializing

Hi,

Thanks so much for making this repo. For some reason when I start the code and connect the meter it just hangs on the "Initializing..." bit. It has been there for around one hour I would say. Is it normal? I am using the Bayer contour next meter (not Ez, or usb).
