I can't generate .hex file

hello i want to put together your project it seems great to me but i am very newbie can you provide me a hex for atmega8a-pu, atmega16a or can i use an arduino nano with atemega328p? I ask a lot, but I only know a little about electronics. I will program with usbtiny and avrdudess.
