Take Ownership Failed

Laptop: Dell Insprion 7447 SATA hard disk: Crucial MX500 Win10 home is installed and the operating system is encrypted by VeraCrypt, I installed Linux Mint , but Linux Mint has been removed now. I tried to setup sedutil but failed. When I entered command "sedutil-cli --initialsetup debug /dev/sda" ,it replied "take ownership failed". How to settle this problem?Management software of Crucial says TCG encryption is enabled, but as far as I know,VeraCrypt does not support opal 2.0 SED. Do I have to erase the SSD by entering PSID and then re-enable opal 2.0 by using sedutil ?

Could it be that you have Block SID enabled in your BIOS? Some BIOSes enable protection against the Take Ownership process so that malware cannot do it willy nilly.
